Cool Cucumber


"COOL CUCUMBER"

Cool Cucumber is refreshing drinks, They're cooling and sweet and are great alongside spicy food. It's the cucumber juice base that seems to have the effect of lowering one's body temperature.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of cucumbers 2 good sized cucumbers, peel still on, coarsely chopped.
  • 1/2 cup lime juice fresh  5 to 10 limes, depending on how juicy they are.
  • 1 1/4 cup packed mint leaves about a large handful of stems removed.
  • 1/2 cup sugar.

Method

  • Blend ingredients:
  • Put ingredients in the blender, add enough water to fill 3/4 of the blender. Hold the lid on the blender and purée until smooth.
  • Strain out solids:
  • Place a fine-mesh sieve over a bowl and pour the purée through it, pressing against the sieve with a rubber spatula or the back of a spoon to extract as much liquid out as possible.
  • Add ice:
  • Fill a large pitcher halfway with ice cubes. Add the juice. Serve with sprigs of mint and slices of lime.

  • 16-24 slices cucumber
  • 6 oz gin (1 1/2 oz equals 3 Tbsp)
  • 1 medium lime (sliced)
  • 4 Tbsp sugar

Instructions

  • Add mint, gin, lime, and sugar to the shaker and muddle.
  • Add cucumber to shaker and shake.
  • Pour it in a glass filled with ice and top with tonic water.
  • let sit for a few minutes for the flavours to enhance and garnish with cucumber slices and enjoy
